Replayer for singers
Replayer is a web app designed to help singers practice and memorize their parts. This guide will take you through the steps of using Replayer as a singer, including installation, playing back tracks, looping specific sections for practice, and filtering tracks by tag.
Step 1: Loading music
If you have received (from your organization or choirmaster)...
- a package link to a compilation, just open that link. This will load the Replayer app, together with the compilation, into the browser.
- a single compilation file (as a ZIP file), open or install Replayer first (see below), then load the file from within the app.
Alternatively, open the Replayer web app from https://web.replayer.app and create your own compilation from scratch by loading your own music. Or you can use this example package link as a demo.
Step 2: Installing Replayer (optional)
By installing the Replayer web app, it can be started from the home screen (on phones) or the desktop (on computers), without any network connection.
Step 3: Playing back a track
- Click on the track in the list to select it.
- Hit the green "Play" button to start playback, then again to pause.
- Use the orange cue buttons or the slider to skip to a specific part of the track.
Selecting a cue also toggles play/pause.
- You can adjust the volume for each individual track separately.
Step 4: Using the looping feature
- Select a section by clicking on it's cue button.
The section is marked with a green color and a highlighted border.
- Open the loop mode menu
- Select the "Loop cue" mode.
- On playback, this section loops indefinitely.
Also, see the other available playback and loop modes.
Step 5: Filtering Tracks by Tag
Replayer allows to filter tracks based on tags (if set). This makes locating recordings for specific voices or other practice materials easier.
- Scroll to the set of available tags (above the track list)
- Select one or more tags
- Only tracks matching the selected tags are shown in the list
